How to Create a Polymarket Account
This guide is specifically about Polymarket — the world's largest prediction market platform. If you've heard about prediction markets and want to get started, Polymarket is the best place to begin. Creating your account takes less than 2 minutes, no ID required, no crypto experience needed.

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market. You bet real money on whether real-world events (elections, crypto prices, sports results) will happen or not. If you're right, you make money.

What You Need to Sign Up
You only need one of the following:
- A Google account (fastest, recommended for beginners)
- An email address (any provider works)
- A crypto wallet like MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom (for crypto-native users)
No passport scan. No selfie. No credit check.

Method 1: Sign Up with Google (Recommended)
Step 1 — Go to Polymarket
Open your browser and go to polymarket.com. Click the Sign Up button in the top-right corner.

Step 2 — Click "Sign Up"
A popup appears with your sign-up options.
Click "Continue with Google" for the fastest setup — or use your email below.
Step 3 — Connect Your Google Account
Select your Google account and confirm. That's it.
Step 4 — You're In!
You're redirected to your Polymarket dashboard. Your account and wallet are automatically created.
Your dashboard is ready. Browse markets and deposit funds to start trading.
Method 2: Sign Up with Email
- Go to polymarket.com and click Sign Up
- Enter your email address and click Continue
- Check your inbox and enter the 6-digit verification code
- Done — your account is created with an automatic smart contract wallet
Security tip: Never share your 6-digit code with anyone, not even someone claiming to be Polymarket support.
Method 3: Sign Up with a Crypto Wallet
- Go to polymarket.com and click Sign Up
- Select Connect Wallet
- Choose your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Phantom...)
- Sign the message in your wallet to confirm (free, not a transaction)
- Done — your existing wallet is linked to your Polymarket account
This method is best if you already have USDC on the Polygon network and want to use your existing wallet infrastructure.
After Signing Up: What's Next?
Your account is ready but you need to add funds before trading. Polymarket uses USDC (1 USDC = $1) for all trades. You can deposit via crypto transfer, credit card, Coinbase, or PayPal.
